Metro United Triumphs Over Acts Academy 4–2 in a Thrilling FAZ Zone 4 Encounter

Metro United Football Club put on a remarkable display of determination, teamwork, and skill as they secured a well-deserved 4–2 victory against Acts Academy on 10th May 2025 at our home ground, Twikatane Grounds in Matero. This match, part of the ongoing FAZ Zone 4 League 2024/2025 Season, not only demonstrated the tactical brilliance of our coaching staff but also highlighted the strength and resilience of our players.

First Half: A Balanced Start

The game kicked off with high energy and intensity from both sides. Metro United wasted no time in making a mark, with Emmanuel Makukula breaking through Acts Academy’s defense to score the opening goal, setting the tone for what would be an exciting match.

Despite our early dominance, Acts Academy managed to level the score with a well-taken goal later in the first half. The first 45 minutes ended in a 1–1 draw, with both teams showing strong intent and attacking play.

Second Half: Tactical Adjustments and Attacking Flair

After halftime, Coach Papa made a few crucial tactical adjustments that shifted the momentum firmly in Metro United’s favor. His decision to tighten the midfield and push our wingers forward created more space and opportunities in the final third.

Our captain and midfield maestro Paul Chanda stepped up and gave Metro United the lead with a stunning finish, energizing the home crowd. Not long after, Makukula struck again, bagging his second goal of the day with precision and power, making it 3–1.

Acts Academy responded with their second goal, momentarily threatening to narrow the gap. However, Christopher Zulu, known for his lethal finishing, rose to the occasion with a late goal that sealed the game. The final whistle confirmed a 4–2 victory for Metro United.

Coach Papa’s vision and tactical prowess were on full display. His ability to read the game and make timely substitutions proved critical to our success.
