Our players train and compete in old, worn-out sneakers or borrowed soccer boots. Proper football boots are essential for safety, performance, and confidence on the pitch, yet they remain a luxury we cannot always afford.
Poor footwear limits movement and ball control, reducing pace, accuracy, and overall match contribution.
Old or damaged boots offer little support or grip, making players more prone to ankle twists, falls, and foot pain.
Bad footwear lowers morale, making players more conscious of their gear than focusing on the match.
Uneven soles lead to poor footing, causing unpredictable movements and disrupting skill development.
Without proper cushioning, tired legs and foot pain set in faster, reducing stamina and match fitness.
When players lack the basics, it’s discouraging; good gear shows support and keeps their passion alive.
We currently train without access to basic training equipment. These tools are crucial in helping our players develop technical and tactical skills that will help them compete at a higher level.

One of the major hurdles we face as a grassroots football team is the absence of a permanent training ground. At present, we depend on borrowed spaces, primarily the field at Mulungoti Basic School. However, this ground is far from ideal. It is rocky, uneven, and not conducive to structured or safe training sessions. Furthermore, without a formal agreement in place, our access is never guaranteed, often leading to last-minute cancellations or adjustments.
These challenges affect both the performance and the growth of our players. Training on poor terrain increases the risk of injury, disrupts tactical development, and undermines the consistency needed for real progress. Players need a stable and reliable environment to thrive, and right now, we don’t have that.
We believe a short-term solution would be to improve the current school field. If someone is willing to help us landscape and level the Mulungoti grounds, we are prepared to negotiate with the school for a maintenance partnership. In exchange for our continued upkeep of the pitch, it could become a semi-permanent Home Ground for us, a place our team could begin to take pride in.
However, we know that the best and most sustainable option is for us to acquire our own piece of land, which we can fully develop into our official Home Ground. A space designed for football from the ground up. A place our players will not only train on but also identify with their own football home, free from interruptions and limitations. With our own land, we would have full control over training schedules, pitch maintenance, and the freedom to dream bigger, whether it’s installing stands, building changing rooms, or hosting community tournaments.
The journey to creating such a home starts with belief and support. And we believe with the right help, we can get there.
